AHEPA District Governor's Message

To all members of our Ahepa family.

I was honored to be elected your District Governor at last years
District Convention, hosted by the San Francisco Chapter. Other
than a few logistic problems the Golden Gate-Pacific Chapter #150 did a great Job.

As your District Governor I attended every Chapter Visitation with at least one other Officer, also our Executive Secretary Brother Bill Booras was in attendance. I was able to attend the morning session of the Fall Conference, hosted by the San Jose Chapter. I would like to thank our Lt. Gov., Nick Pries, for chairing the afternoon session. All of the events hosted by our Chapters are done very well. The Spring Convention was hosted by the Sacramento Chapter #151 also did a great job. The attendance at both Conferences was quite good, As always we would like to see more Brother attend are District events. I would urge every Chapter Officer and member to make every attempt to attend.

A very positive aspect for our District is that our membership has increased this past year.

For that I thank everyone who sponsored a new member. We all realize that without new members, and ideas, our beloved Order cannot survive.

Many Chapters send me their monthly bulletins, which I am great full. The projects that many Chapters participate in is very commendable. The March 25th parades, the flag raising at many City Halls and the State Capital which showcases our Hellenic heritage. Many Chapters perform worthy projects for our Church’s, from rebuilding a kitchen area by the Oakland Chapter #171 at Ascension Cathedral to support for students at Holy Cross Seminary by the Modesto Chapter. The rebates from our Charitable Raffle have to be used for outside charitable purpose, and I am glad that edit is being followed.

In closing I would once again thank all of your hospitably, and great food at all of the visitations. Let all of us put our best foot forward to make District #21 one of the best in the AHEPA world.

Our District Convention is coming up, hosted by the Fresno Chapter. Let all of use make every effort to attend and support the Fresno Chapters.

I would like to thank my District Lodge for their support and help in the last Ahepa year.

Fraternally, Steve Miller DG.
